Advertiser Terms

Last updated: 2026-06-01

Template — not legal advice. This is placeholder boilerplate to wire up the page. Have it reviewed and customized by counsel before launch.

1. Scope

These Advertiser Terms apply when you create, fund, or run advertising on Roast Reels (the “Service”). They are in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; if there’s a conflict for advertising matters, these Advertiser Terms control. “You” means the advertiser and the brand it represents.

2. Authority & eligibility

You represent that you’re authorized to enter these terms on behalf of the brand you’re advertising, that the brand will be bound, and that your account information is accurate.

3. Your ad content

You provide ad creative, copy, brand assets, links, and targeting settings (“Ad Content”). You keep ownership of your Ad Content and grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, adapt for formatting, and display it within the Service and in reels where your ad runs, including a license to your names, logos, and trademarks for that purpose.

You’re solely responsible for your Ad Content and any claims it makes.

4. Advertising standards

  • Be truthful and not deceptive; substantiate your claims; include required disclosures.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and advertising rules (including FTC guidance) and platform policies.
  • Don’t infringe third-party IP or publicity/privacy rights, and don’t use another’s marks without rights.
  • No illegal, hateful, deceptive, malware, or prohibited-category content; no targeting or directing ads to children.
  • Landing pages and offers must match the ad and function as described.

5. Budgets, credits & billing

Advertising is funded with prepaid credits purchased through our payment processor (Stripe). Spend is drawn against your campaign budget on a usage basis (e.g., per impression and/or per click, at the rates shown in the Service). Ads pause when the budget is exhausted.

Prices, rates, and credit values may change. Except where required by law, purchases and credits are non-refundable and have no cash value. You’re responsible for applicable taxes.

Reported metrics are estimates provided for your convenience and may differ from third-party measurements; they are not guarantees.

6. Placement, rotation & no guarantee

Ads enter a rotation and may be appended to or shown alongside reels, subject to your category targeting. We don’t guarantee specific placement, volume, delivery, results, or the specific content your ad appears next to beyond reasonable category controls. The Service hosts AI-generated comedy and user content; brand-adjacency is best-effort, not guaranteed.

7. Review, rejection & removal

We may review, reject, pause, or remove any ad at any time, with or without notice, including for policy violations or quality reasons. Approval of an ad isn’t an endorsement and doesn’t waive these terms.

8. Revenue share & sponsorships

Where you participate in revenue-share, sponsored events (e.g., Celebrity Edition), or creator/talent partnerships, additional commercial terms and payout/processor requirements (e.g., Stripe Connect, tax forms) apply and will be provided for that program.

9. Term & termination

Either party may stop campaigns at any time. We may suspend or terminate your advertising access for violations of these terms or the Terms of Service. Unspent credits are handled per Section 5.

10. Disclaimers & liability

The advertising features are provided “as is” without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability relating to advertising is limited to the amount of advertising fees you paid us in the 30 days before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages or for lost profits.

11. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold harmless Roast Reels and its affiliates from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Ad Content, your products/services, your claims, your landing pages, or your violation of these terms or any law or third-party right.
